How to Fish the Mach Bouncer
The Mach Bouncer is an excellent squarebill crankbait that will help you catch more fish and cover water quickly. This bait will dive down to 3-6 feet depending on line size and retrieve speed. The Bouncer excels when used in shallow, hard cover like rocks or wood. “You want to be throwing it around the healthiest, cleanest looking stuff because it is a treble-hooked bait that is meant to make contact with the bottom” explains Tyler. This allows the bait to Bounce and deflect off cover to trigger strikes from fish.
Anglers need to be aware of lure position when fishing this type of lure. “If you're fishing in a kayak, or a bass boat, or the bank, you want to be paralleling your bait along the bank. So, whether it's wood, rocks, or just a hard, clean bottom, you want your bait to be going parallel to that cover and not casting to an object. I'm not saying you can't catch any target casting with a Bouncer, because you can” explains Anderson.
